10am – 3pm Lab : How to write a feature length script with award wining writer/director, Dr Clare Anyiam-Osigwe B.E.M

Dr Clare Anyiam-Osigwe B.E.M is a serial entrepreneur and has been teaching for over a decade. After graduating from Brunel with a joint honours degree in Drama, with Film and TV Directing in 2006, Clare attended LAMDA and Identity Drama schools for further classical training. Clare quickly realised that the film industry was tough and left to pursue a career in beauty after working as a makeup artist during her years of study.
Having founded the world’s first Allergen-free beauty company in 2011 on her 26th birthday, Clare single-handedly revolutionised the natural beauty market with her handcrafted brand PremaeUK which have won 17 industry awards including a British Empire Medal from The Queen in 2017. Clare is also the founder of On Point Communications – an award winning PR agency which specialises in international communications for Film and Lifestyle brands.
Clare alongside her husband is the Co-Founder of BUFF Originals – a film production company, who independently released her critically acclaimed debut feature ‘No Shade‘ ( which she wrote, directed and co-starred in, which triumphed with theatrical releases in both U.K. and U.S cinemas in November 2018 making Clare the 6th black British female director to achieve a theatrical release in 123 years of British cinema.
Clare won her first award as a film director in December 2018 at the New York ADIFF Awards, and has continued to be award worthy ever since:
January 2019 – Women In Film Award (DFSGL Awards London), Best feature film nominations at (PAFF Oscar-qualifying Feb 2019 Los Angeles), Best Director (Screen Nation April 2019 London).
